LeJeune Steel Co. and Wisconsin Structural Steel Co. (WSSCO) partner with Power Construction to provide and erect the structural steel for the new Maxwell Retail Center on the South Loop’s Roosevelt Road in Chicago. WSSCO will fabricate more than 1,110 tons of steel for the project.
The project consists of 231,000 square feet of steel structure. The two-story building has a composite frame second floor with a beam and bar joist style roof. The project will include a unitized frame system for signage support. The signs will display national retailers such as Nordstrom Rack, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and the Burlington Coat Factory.
Construction began this summer with an anticipated grand opening in September 2014.
