Steel fabrication for Eastern High School

June 17, 2010 - LeJeune Steel Co. was awarded the structural and miscellaneous steel contract for the new Eastern High School addition in Duluth, Minn.

The project calls for 550 tons of structural steel and 200 tons of bar joist. Sister company Wisconsin Structural Steel will fabricate a majority of the project, while partner Duluth Steel will fabricate selected members and miscellaneous steel.

The 106,000-square-feet of new construction, plus renovation to the existing school will be completed this summer to allow for a 2011 school year opening. The multiphase project will seek a silver level LEED certification.
