LANDMARK OF LAKE FOREST

Landmark of Lake Forest
The commercial office market in Chicago is heating up, providing LeJeune Steel the opportunity to once again team up with Opus North. The project, Landmark of Lake Forest, is located in Lake Forest, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago. The building will boast 5 levels of steel framing, a steel framed screen wall at the roof, plus a steel canopy at the entrance.

The LeJeune built frame will support the predominantly architectural precast concrete. The vision glass is set in aluminum frames, and is also maintained by the structural steel. The roof mechanical equipment is recessed from the front of the building and fully screened with glass and steel framing complementing the building exterior. The expansive floor plates and large bay sizes are made possible by the composite steel framing system. This design maximizes space planning efficiency, minimizes cabling costs and maximizes window lines and natural light creating a pleasant working environment. The “cut-outs” at the east and west ends of the building offer opportunities for additional corner offices.
