Lakewalk Medical Center

Lakeview Building - Duluth, Minnesota LeJeune worked to complete the Lakewalk Medical Center, a four-story, 73,000 square foot medical facility located at 1001 East Superior Street, Duluth, Minnesota. The Lakewalk Medical Center includes a cancer care center, infectious disease level, outpatient services, and an internal medicine floor.

Welding of Girder LeJeune fabricated and helped erect the structural steel for the Lakewalk Medical Center. The Lakewalk Medical Center was constructed from 440 tons of steel including beams, columns and girders.

The Fabricator is Heating the Steel Before Welding LeJeune led an aggressive steel erection schedule due to their early project involvement and engineering efforts. Proactive project management allowed for continuous and accurate steel delivery. Because the steel was fabricated in-house and closely coordinated with the erector less welding had to be done on the job site, resulting in increased productivity.
