SYSTEMS - AUDITORIUM

LeJeune’s stellar performance
in fabricating the Epic Systems
Training Center has been rewarded
with a new contract.
Phase II,
of the corporate campus is the
Epic Systems Auditorium. The
220,000 square foot Auditorium
abuts up to the Training Center
and completes the ying-yang symbol
shaped structure. Over 3,000
steel supported, stadium style
seats are planned for the Auditorium.
The composite roof structure
features double joist with 120
foot spans. An intricate, 186
ton, cat-walk system, creates
an interstitial level of framing
below the roof support. Total
Project tonnage will exceed 1,950
tons.

The
300,000 sq. ft. Training Center
at the Epic Systems
campus will be completely delivered,
just
in
time to start
erection of the Auditorium in
June. The Training Center base
building will top out at over
2,500 tons of structural steel
plus another 450 tons of composite
joist. The Vendor Display Area
was a significant addition to
this base building. This Add
consists of an extra 354 tons
of multi level framing. The unique
pipe columns also appear in the
Vendor Display Area, as well
as the Auditorium. These columns
are 20 inch in diameter, 1/2
inch wall thickness and soar
up to 80 feet in
length.
